Starting on November 1st, I will be launching an internet radio station broadcasting
Yamaha PSR and Tyros keyboard players instrumental music. The broadcasts will take place daily between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm., eastern time. A second identical broadcast will be made between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm., eastern time.

This is a non-profit endeavor on my part. The broadcasts will feature music from many
professional and amateur PSR performers that you are familiar with. This is not a “pirate
radio” broadcast, as all music broadcast is covered by a blanket license from Loudcity.net, which has licensing agreements with ASCAP, BMI and SESAC.

The broadcasts will be performed in a new format called AAC+. You will need the latest
version of Winamp (version 5.1) to tune in these broadcasts. Winamp is a free download.
Older versions of Winamp are unable to receive AAC+ format. This exciting new format enables us to broadcast at a low bitrate to accomodate dialup internet users as well as high speed internet connections, without sacrificing quality of sound.

For details regarding how to tune us in, or how to have your music played on our
broadcasts, please visit our website, www.psrmusic.com

Please note that much of the music that you will hear is played by amateur players. Don’tbe bashful about submitting your music.

For inquiries, email us at psrmusic@cox.net

Bruce,

This is exciting stuff! Thanks for sharing this with us. Now I have to check my Winamp and make sure it's up to date. I never heard of AAC+ before, I'm going to have to do my research to bone up.

Thanks and REgards,
Al

Yamaha must be sponsoring the site.

To answer some questions posted:

(1) Yamaha is not sponsoring the station. You might look at it as an extension of the PSR Performer's page on Joe Water's excellent website. Since I am a big fan of Yamaha keyboards, I decided to stick to the same format of including only the PSR/Tyros keyboards.
(2) Am interested in featuring the playing skills of the keyboard players, and the great sounds they get from their PSR keyboards ...thus no vocals.

Bruce,
cool, that's an excellent idea! I also think that instrumentals only is the right decision.

Good luck with the project!
