I recived an email from Ayran Nasheet who is trying to find some special, 7/8 styles for Afghani music. Though I have lots of styles on hand, these are not among them. If any members has some they wish to share with him, please Email them to aryan_nasheet@hotmail.com I believe he is playing a PSR-2000.

Thanks,

Gary

Don't forget to tell him about

MIDI-Style-Atlas at Yahoo.com

It was set up for people looking for uhard-to-find ethnic styles. I don't recall offhand what Afghani styles are there, but there are Persian styles. Also, if Ayran finds some Afghani styles, he might upload them there so they are available to others.

Here is anothe r idea. It may or may not be a little too far "out of the box", but I'll throw it out there anyway. If he or someone else has access to the Jammer Pro Line of products, it supports just about any kind of meter you could want ( including 7/8 of course ), with the ability to easily edit a little data here or there and come up with unique ( Jammer format ) styles of your own.

The resulting data can then be saved as midi data and converted for use on an arranger via one of the conversion programs. Maybe or maybe not helpful for him, but just thought I'd thrrow it out there.
