Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with power bumps. The power cuts out, but not completely, then comes right back on. This is happening in the whole area, usually about once every 2 days and some of my equipment doesn't like it. I have everything surge protected and am wondering if a power conditioner would help, or do I need a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Source)? Thanks.

Several times I was placed on a stage that shared the same line as kitchen refrigeration equipment, electric coffee maker or some other heat producing device that would cause power fluxuations. Between dips and surges my keyboards would sometimes just quit.

A UPS solved the problem for me.

In my limited experience conditioners are good for cleaning up "dirty" power but not so hot at drop-outs of even short duration. Looks to me like you need a UPS. Make sure the UPS short-term amps capacity is well over your normal load (+50%?) as a borderline capacity UPS can also droop a bit at full load!
