Karma is the Extraordinary Arpeggiator of the Korg Oasys. Some even say it has the possibillities to grow intoo an outoaccompniment tool.

Here is a set of video's that shows whats possible with this very creative tool. its kinda build like an introductianry lesson.

Do you think this tool could ever replace autoaccompaniment in a one man band situation? Or is it more fit for DJ's?

Ever since the Messe in Frankfurt i've been in awe about the sound and options of the Korg Oasys.
If you want to know why. Here are some video's of one of my favourite Keyboard artist Jordan Rudess on the Korg Oasys. (Scroll down till you see "More Jordan Video's" and you might understand why i am so impressed with the Korg Oasys.

And whats best of it, the Korg is Linux Operated and rock stable.(Eat that Lionstracs)

Anyone else impressed? anyone else have some action video's from the OIasys?

Not that i can afford one at the moment, but i just wanted to share my feelings with you all.

Korg's Karma already "bombed out" a few years ago..No it can't replace our current arranger method..

I had a Karma keyboard along with a Triton pro a few years ago in my band days, great instrument for live use and recording and it gave some inspirational ideas when using it.
It will need to be changed a bit to get near auto accompaniment in the top arrangers, but I'm sure Korg could do it sooner or later. An OASYS with auto accompaniment would be amazing.... pretty please KORG as long as it's not about £10,000

Korg told me at the messe that a true auto accompnimant could be build intoo the current Oasys. If people demended that option.

Did you listen to the Karma tutorials? The Karma II engine in the Oasys has come a long way since the orriginal Karma. I can only imagine the tricks you can play with that thing.

Currently Korg is supposed to be working on a virtual wind instrument aka the Yamaha VL-1 and a VST host that allows you to controll vst's on a connected computer in the Karma screen. (kinda like the citrix idea)So they are still working on expanding the Oasys.
