Is there any way of seeing what speed the Arpeggiator is running at??? (apart from the red light!!!)

No, I think not. I usually have it synced to my Mac. What about syncing another MIDI device to the prophecy that can display tempo? I'd use MAX. but any decent sequencer would do.
