I was just looking at the specs on the Tyros pdf and a very interesting thing caught my eye. Look at the dimensions on Tyros a 61 keyboard as opposed to the Sd1 a 76 keyboard.

Tyros 61= 45.24” x 16.9” x 5.4”

Sd1 76= 46.8 x 15.3 x 4.7

It appears that the Tyros 61 is only an inch + smaller than the 76 Sd1 and even higher in height. This seems odd. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

All of my work is done in my studio and my keyboards are stationary so this doesn't bother me. I guess the Tyos has plenty of room for lounging where as the SD1 is well laid out for a 76.

Thanks, I didn't see your thread on this. I guess you were scratching your head with this one a while ago.

Very simple to figure out really, on the Tyros there's plenty of room for your beverage of choice and room for your sandwich at lunch, so you never have to leave the board.....I like the concept myself.

I'm sippin'...I'm jammin'.....a little munching, while the tunes are slammin'.....

The Tyros is designed to have speakers attached. How much separation do you need for a good stereo sound?
