I saw somewhere when looking at the specs for a Yamaha piano that the XG set had separate memory for the XG voices.. Is it this way with all the PSR's??? The specs for my PSR-550 state there is 8mb's to the voices... Is this for all the voices "including the XG set"? If this is a dumb question I apologize.. It's just something I've been curious about..

On the 740 the voice memory (20Mb of samples)
is contained within the synth engine chip which also houses the mixer an effects processor. This is the same (or similar) chip as in the SW1000XG and MU100 etc. Other than that there are 64Mb of program ROM for the CPU. The other main chip contains the analog /physical modelling and DSPs.
