I have heard that combination and it sounds terrific.
I had the original powered Eons and they sounded great too. The G2s can only be better. In know they are more powerful.

I have the powered EON G2 10's and matching powered subs... got no complaints whatsoever. I like that the 10's legs fit into the holes on top the sub so they "lock" together more or less. Lots of clean power - I only use the subs in large rooms and outdoors. I also like being able to use the 10's by themselves. Great combo - I say go for it!

My idea exactly, 10's when you can, subs when you need them.
I was thinking just one sub? at least to start.

Hi Mike

For what it's worth, I use 2 JBL Eon 10G2's with the sub from the Logitech z5500. 188 watts RMS, 34 lbs. About $300.

I have never tried the JBL sub. I'm sure they sound good, but they sure won't fit into my car and I wanted to keep it light also.

I do not use the satellites. After comparing witht the JBL 10's, they will remain in storage.

Just another idea.

Best
