Hmmmmmm . . . Michel Voncken usually wears a wrist watch on his left wrist (admittedly this could be out of view on this video because of the shirt cuff and jacket sleeve). Also, probably because of contractual reasons, Voncken's videos invariably are preceded by the Yamaha logo, plus a Yamaha surround to the screen. Add to this fact that Markus 7788 has a number of other PSR3000 videos on YouTube and I'm hugely doubtful that the subject video is actually Michel Voncken.

Do you think I'd get a job on CSI?

Here is what Markus writes on his YouTube page :

"I learn 99% of all songs from the michel voncken videos by hear"

And he claims only to have played keyboards for two years! Nevertheless he has a fantastic talent and it is a great way to show off the PSR-3000.

he is very good. There is no way he has only been playing two years though.

I dunno, I could see 2 years as being possible to acheive his level of playing ability he may just have a natural flair for keyboard playing.

Its possible i guess but unlikely that he has not had some prior keyboard playing experience. To Learn to use the psr3000 adeptly (or any electronic keyboard from nothing takes many many hours and then to be able to use the left and right hand independently, changing registrations in time at speed etc like that takes a lot of practise even for people with a lot of ability .many here including myself who have been playing for years would find this challenging. His hand position is very good and his fingering looks very fluid and his technique in termsof switching between registrations, pitch bend wheel and chords is faultless.Thats why i doubt that he has only been playing for two years. He may have only been playing the psr3000 for two years but i suspect he has been playing keys for longer. I could be wrong however and i am certainly not taking anything away from his very obvious talent
