Hey all,
Had the chance to meet AJ at the Ketron booth. He's a nice guy and great player too. The SD looks great. Their digitals are nice in good looking cabinets. The Roland area is vast and marketing at its finest. I do like the new synth stuff, but no new arrangers. Still had the va-7 on display (and it was fun to play). Genesys' new pop-up 61 note version looks great and sounds pretty cool. Maybe it's me, but I would prefer another acoustic piano patch. Kurzweil had a couple of new 2600 type new boards geared for one looking for scsi, etc stuff. Didn't see much more because I have my own responsibilities but hope to check out Yamaha (already heard not much this year), Korg and Casio.
What a privilege to be here. Wish everyone could experience this.
Zuki

One of the great things about the genesys is that you can put any sample piano sound you want. No need to re-load the sample if you turn the instrument off, as the sample is stored in flash. I personal like this sample piano. The genesys can load, Kurzweil, Akai, AIFF, Wav. all right from the CD drive.

Paul,
Thanks for the info. Do you know if they will have a 76 note version of the arranger one day? P.S. Chris Anderson is awesome on that board.

I think you mean Chris Anthony, who helped program the styles on this model and other models from Generalmusic, Yamaha and Roland. Chris was at the NAMM show demoing the Genesys and the ProMega2 and ProMega3 pianos.

Chris Anthony is one of the engineers/programmers for Generalmusic. Chris is a great! As far as a 76 note version, there are no plans at this time. Historically 76 note instruments do not sell well.
