Anyone tried the new PSR-550 yet? I used to own the 540 and I hear the sound quality of the PSR-550 is almost double the 540. I've seen it adverstised as having 8mbs of wave rom.... Anyone play one or bought one yet?

Squeak,
I gave a report on the PSR550 when I got them in at my store. I was blown away at how much better the 550 is over the 540. Besides much improved styles, the sounds are much improved as well. It's not that there are that many new sounds, but all the sounds are vastly better. I was also impressed to see Arabic drums included and the style data base has been implemented from the PSR9000. Although the keyboard basically looks the same (except for the 4 color display), everyone who plays it, loves it!

George,
Email me with your price including shipping for the 550.. I'm going to buy on on Monday the 13th, and I wanted to look around to see who has the better deals. Thanks for the info too..

squeek, ive had a 550 for two weeks now.
the main problem is that it makes me want more, and to get more you have to pay a LOT more.
the sounds are great,it is very simple to use, even for a beginner like me.
if you can live with only 2 variations,1 intro,1ending-----and only a headphone jack for an output, then you will LOVE this keyboard. I am still considering trading up,but still not sure to what. I may just have to wait for the new 1000/2000 models in the fall.but for the $500 price range-this baby rocks!
