Has anyone fixed the "Excessive PCI Activity" message that the drivers sometimes report.

I have just added a MIDISPORT USB 4x4 and it plays for less than a minute or so before producing the error. I've seen lots of docs about Graphic Cards causing this, but I've even changed the Graphics card from a Matrox Millenium AGP200 to an ATI Rage II, disabled acceleration, reduced screen res, and even loaded the Standard VGA driver (yuck).

I also tried the system.ini hack recommended by Korg - [mga.drv]Chipset=1 - and moved the card from slot to slot.

It gets better - I've tried using a Parallel Midiport, but that won't work at all. The only time I've had any degree of success is while using an ISA midi interface (1x1), but the timing isn't completely accurate all the time (loads of stumbling etc), and sometimes slow drifting out of time.

Muting the midi tracks produces stable Audio with no errors.

Any help would be gratefully received...
