Bebop, look forward to your feedback on the KP200S after you get yours. I'm confident that you're gonna really enjoy it. I surely love mine, though it's the KP200S's smaller little bro (KP100S). - Scott

I have this amp BEBOP and really like it a lot. I've had zero problems with it, the volume is OUT OF THIS WORLD, and although it's a little on the heavy side, a hand cart makes it a truly simple and portable piece of equipment.

If you have any questions about it please let me know.

Can't speak for others, but for larger rooms, I take the EVs & utilize the Motion Sound amp solely as a personal stage monitor. For stage concerts (like my upcoming SF Chinese New Year Festival appearance, which estimates a crowd of up to 3,000-5,000 people), I leave it to a professional sound & stage crew to both provide and monitor the sound. - Scott

Thanks Guys and thanks to Dan01 for treating my wife so well and selling her this big box that is sitting on the washer dryer.
My birthday is on the 27 of February, next month so I guess I get to look at this big box with the Fed ex label on it for another month and 4 days, unless...........
Jann tells me she is really pleased with the excellent service she received from Dan01 when I told her about the offer for this kp200s.
Yes, I know that that at least one of the online companies had this amp for sale but I also know their and Dan01's reputation. I would prefer to deal with people I know and respect like Dan and George, based on your recomendations.
Thanks to all
Bebop and Jann

Wow - a subwoofer especially for the KP-200s - that's the first I'd seen it. What a handsome stack that would make, but personally I haven't needed much more bass than what my KP-200s can produce on it's own. Hope it's not overpriced.

Interesting - the second subwoofer in that Motion Sound NAMM press release shows an "SW-15" which is designed to work with both the KP-200s and the KP-100s... but the specs say that the cabinet is 12" high - so how did they get a 15" speaker in there? Oops, preliminary specs maybe?

Bebop - congrats on joining the KP-200s circle. It's almost a year since I bought mine and there's still nothing else in a keyboard amp I'd rather have.

Hey PRO,
That sounds real encouraging because I requested my wife buy it for my birthday present without any more info that I was able to get right here on this forum. I am thankful to all for your imputes to my research.
I am kicking this big box every time I walk past it and counting the days to my birthday. Only 26 more then I can open it and CRANK!!
Best to you,
Bebop

Ok....here's an update .

Motion Sound was tossed between making both a slave for the KP200S or adding a subwoofer. They would like some feedback from owners on what they think .

Sub or slave ?

BTW....I had a customer buy a KP100S . Like most people , he wasn't neccessarily with the bass response , so he considered moving up to the KP200S . But ! he did email motion sound and Motion Sound suggested that he try a small bass amp with the KP100S. Well .....it worked !

The thing that turned me off was when I read that people after buying a Motion KP100 amp had to spend another $100.0 or so to buy new replacement speakers on a
"Brand New" amp due to the lacking sound they ween't happy with.....seems confusing to me!

I've never heard the KP-100s but I can tell you that the woofers in the KP-200s are just fine as they are and noone to my knowledge has swapped them out.

That brings up the question of whether a sub is necessary with the KP-200s - I don't think so. Motion Sound has already changed their "prototype" website and now say that the SL-200s is a slave cabinet. I think the slave concept is better than a sub - why not double the overall sound rather than just add more bass? Gosh, a slave cabinet reminds of the old Fender guitar amps... pretty impressive stage stack we're talking about. It's the price that'll be a big factor for me. It's also cool that they are accepting input on their prototype units from their customers (wish more manufacturers thought of that).

I noticed that they plan on hooking up the SL-200s to the KP-200s via a midi-type cable. My KP-200s does not have a 5-pin DIN jack so I assume we're talking about a retrofit kit for existing KP owners? Better be easy to install - I hate the thought of cutting and modifying my amp.

Thanks for keeping us clued in on this Dan - I'm interested in the final product.

Donny ,

I don't get it either . I have many customers with Kp100's and are completely happy with what comes out of the box .
