Hello Ketronfriends,
My first week on the sd1 was great !!!
First about the sounds:
**The "grandpiano" is fantastic !!! good sound
(i think a stereosample).
**el. pianosection : markpiano
**chrom. section: the vibraphon.
**organsection: lovely sounds like jazzb3, gospel, jazzy and rotary.
**arcordeon: different good accordeons (more than on the x1) like musette,
accordeon, bandoneon, alpen and diatonic.
**guitarsection: brazilian, acoustic,jazzguitar, texas.
**Violin/ensemble section: This section is great with open stringsounds
like slowstrings,viola's (like the sound on ms50/60, a sound that i really
like !!!)
**choirbank: (like x1) except some fadechoirs 1&2.
**brass-section: goldentrumpet (with breathnoise), trumpet (e.g. x1 with
breaths.)
mexicantrumpet(x1 trumpet)
**saxsection: tenor, contra-alt, clarinet.
**flutesection: some new sounds like lipflute,softflute.
This are some of the sounds i like most on the sd1. There are much more
sounds some sections have 3-banks of sounds !!
styles:
Some of the new styles i like :
**pubsong(8-beatbank) good section love the guitar groove.
** swingfunk: with wha-wha effect (there are more styles with wha-wha on
the sd1)
**kramerstyle
**some style's of the ms50/60 are also on the sd1 like: discosamba,
happysamba(on ms50/60 samba1), discochacha
** some good jazzstyles like: jazzman, jazzcombo, new orleans
** latinsection(my favourite): salsaviva, samba, brazilbossa(intro3 like
one note samba)
**other good styles: french musette,dancefever(with wha-wha),
dancelatin,maniadance,...and much more !!!!!!
**live-use of the sd1:
**quick acces to all sounds and styles !!
changing style-banks with one button !
also for the sounds.
**all sounds and stylebanks on the screen
now.
**4 banks of one touch.
**stylesettings: each style can have 10
sounds you choose.
**programsounds + 2-voice
**sampler has more memory
**new real drumkits and grooves.
**two versions of the sd1:standard with
hardisk and vocalizer. 2. also with
karaokefunction and videointerface
**loading single sounds and making your own
soundbanks !!!
**directacces to hardiskstyle's.
**to end button for short endings !!
**manual drumplaybutton.
***The sd1 is a great keyboard!!!!!
good styles like always (real grooves!)
I have used it on time live now and had
no function-errors !!

I have also made some demo's on the sd1.
are there people who can upload this mp3's.
i can't upload this on my site.(only short
demo's no compositions of me !)

Hi,
i have made 14 demo's on the sd1.
* autumnleaves with jazzmanstyle featuring
the grandpianosound.
* The girl from ipanema with brazilbossastyle
sounds: piano, contra-alto,flute.
* sullivan: flugelhorn,trombone with samba-
style
* programsounddemo : some of the
programsound on the sd1
* singlesounddemo: some solo-voices of the
sd1.
And much more...
Dear friends it is not possible to upload this mp3's to all private !! it
takes to long time !!
Are there some members who have space on their webpage for uploading?

maybe don mason can put the songs on his site

I have searched the web for Solton SD1 demos and only come up with a few
short sound bites on some sites. why is it so hard to hear demos on this
unit? how do they expect to sell them if 1- its hard to find and play at
stores in your area, and 2- demos are scarce on the web?

There are eight demos to listen; I think you can discard "Alpen" and
"Romagna" (it's just european country music).
