My cousins kid is taking piano lessons on a Casio. His teacher says it is time to get something with piano feel, more keys and a sustain pedal. I agree. What do you think, new or used doesn't matter for around 500 dollars?

The Roland EP stuff is a step up from synth action with waterfall keys and is priced pretty good too. There is an old stock EP70 here in Philly for about $400. 76 keys, basic sequencer, speakers..... Call Dom @ 610-527-3090.

Take a look at the EP760 at about $600.00. It's a just released new model. I played this digital piano for a few minutes and I liked it more than the some very expensive Yamaha, Korg, and Roland RD150 pianos I tried. Just my weird hearing I guess, so your mileage may vary. I like the sound of an inexpensive piano?? Hmmm? I think it's semi-weighted.

How about a Yammie DGX-300 or 500, that thing has a pretty good piano sound + Arranger features, Then he can enjoy the best of both worlds.

The Yamaha P80 is cheap now. You can probably get it for $600-$700. It has weighted piano feel. 88 keys and not so bulky, and it's Yamaha.
