I have replace the two satellite speakers with two 161 Bose speakers. (Thank you Scott Y.) My Z2300 sounds much better – more mids. Great!

Is it possible to add some sort of tweeter or small horn to bring some of the high tones, then I would have it all.

I am talking about connecting the horn or tweeter to the same wires that the Bose are connected to.

Thanks, John C.

John,

This depends on the impedience of the Bose speakers. You may have to hook up a series/parallel rig in order to make this work and not overload the 2300's output.

Good Luck,

Gary

My mom said, "You always have to learn the hard way". So Gary took time to answer my post -- he told me of the danger -- and I thought I would try it and give just a little volume --Aaaaaaaaah -- the sub went out. Everything is working but the sub.

Any more suggestions --- I feel stupid!!!

John C.

Hi John

Worse case scenario, I understand Logitech is very good about malfuncions with their products. You can probably get a free replacement and still keep the old one

Scott

PS: If it get's to that, I don't think I'd explain how it happened, only what is happening

John,

Check the sub's fuse and make sure it's not blown. If this is the case, a simple fuse replacement may solve your problem. If the fuse is still good, you've blown the sub's amp, which is essentially the major portion of the system. If so, and the Z-2300 is still under warrenty, call Logitech's service department and they'll take care of it post haste.

Good Luck,

Gary
