Mine is to try to take some road trips to meet some of my SZ & other musician friends around the country just like dave is doing as we speak on his way to Kentucky to meet Capt. Russ.......check out some new gear if I can find it or maybe a train road trip to Washington Music to see my buddy AJ....
& also to make a bit more time out of my busy Gigging schedule to try to record my third CD.....

How About You?

I have three and i will achieve them this new year ! I promise

1. I have a contemporay Gospel chords Tutorial DVD. Got it last year and did not use it !Now i will go through it and learn every chord progression and riff in it
2. I have the manual for my Pa1X that i have never read so i guess its time to do some reading
3. I have been promising to post some of my music on the Zone but have been put off by the costant bickering. I realise that i have been hiding behind that excus for too long. This new year i promise to post at least 3 compositions or arrangements (with or without vocals) so you can hear why i love my Pax so much.

My past goal was to be a better jazz pianist... I'm a little bored with that now and I think audiences are too. I may actually try my hand at doing a country piano album - one that focuses on the music of great country pianists like Floyd Cramer, Ronnie Milsap, Charlie Rich, etc. I think piano is sorely missing in today's popular country music and the country pianist genre slipped away without anyone noticing. I may try my hand at revitalizing it.

I was thinking along those lines while listening to DonM's music ... I would like to hear some of his stuff using a piano voice instead of guitar ...

Esh,
Just trivia:
Ronnie is appearing in Shreveport tonight at a casino. I'm not working tonight, so probably won't run into him. I met him back in Arkansas years ago. Super guy. I would go see him, but my youngest son is playing basketball at the same time, and that's WAY more important.
Floyd was raised in the little town of Huttig, AR, about 100 miles from here.
His stuff is easy to play once you learn that distictive technique where you hit a quick grace note a full step down from the note you finish on. It will make you play on the white keys though!
Can't wait to hear you apply your own touch to some country stuff.

Coming soon, to a Honky-tonk near you!
Actually I use the piano sound a lot, just didn't happen to post anything.
My primary sounds are guitar, acc. guitar, piano, sax, organ. I also use fiddle, harmonica and accordian (Cajun) some.
My piano technique is by far my weakest "instrument".

I almost forgot the resolutions part.
Let's see, work less for more money.
Lose the weight again. And that is musically related. It affects breath control, appearance, stamina, etc.
Get my equipment weighing even less and sounding even better. (On-going quest.)
Pick up HankB, SemiLive, and Dean and go do a Country show for Captain Russ!

Take "The Feeble Winds" on the road!

Tony, you didn't really have to plan to give up your day gig for the group!
