My daughter plays Yam 550. She is playing for last 4 years. As a second KB I am considering buying Roland EXR 5 or YAM 2100. My greatest weight is on the sound quality. Your suggestions please. thanx

I guess there are some more infos needed to find the right keyboard:

How old is your doughter? And what is she doing to go for with the keyboard?
Which sounds does your doughter use mostly?
Are you looking for a good sound quality or the best?
Which handling does your doughter prefer? Light, medium or heavy weighted keyboards? Should it have 61, 76 or 88 keys?

And maybe some more questions...

I think that Georg Kaye can help you. He's a vendor with a good lobby in here and he's also a member of our SynthZone. You'll probably find him anywhere in here...
Good luck for your quest!

The PSR2100 would be a huge improvement for her, no matter what age. You should be able to get one at a reasonable price now.

Do you still have any guarantee? Then I would tend to say it's still worth up to 1,000 $US...

Thank you guys.

Actually my daughter usually plays piano, musette, accordian, string voices alongwith auto accpmnt. I was rather inclined to buy EXR 5 as it would provide a 'different' sound (from a different vendor) and give some 'variety'. Interestingly the street prices of psr 2100 and exr 5 in Kokata (India) are almost the same.
