I'm looking to dump my Stagepas 330. I'd prefer to have 2 powered monitors to transport simply in and out of the car. Maixumum 300 - 500 people tops.

I plan to run my mic through the keyboard to utilize the onboard fx.

I am giving up stereo I suppose.

Questions:

- Any suggestions on which speakers to get.
- Will I sacrifice a lot giving up stereo?
- Comments, suggestions please

Thanks in advance,

zuki

Zuki,

If you use two powered monitors, you will still be able to run your keyboard in stereo...I use an old pair of Yamaha MS60 powered monitors (don't need a sub with them)...work fine for my jobs, but in your case, you may need more power.

The Mackies are great.

or

Peavey PR12p

I own Mackie 300i's which are the unpowered version of the SRM 450 and I think they are fantastic speakers, possibly second only to the the EVs. IMHO

A pair of those sure made my SD1 sound really great.
Fulltone even serve your voice well, and they sound warm
and soft, not cold and too sharp as many others.

I use a pair of pr15 peavys
and a yamaha emx512sc (12 channel powered mixer)

i know you were looking for an all in 1 system.

however this way will give you so many options

as far as weight the powered mixer only weighs 19 lbs

my total cost from GC: 800.00

Tried a Traynor K4 at Music Stop Moncton New Brunswick several months ago...lots of power, good quality sound...BUT stereo separation is poor at best.

Good if you need space on stage...otherwise, go with two powered speakers for much better stereo imaging.

What about the Yamaha Stagepas 500?
