It gets hot right where the RH speaker is, and then it starts distorting really bed it takes about 30-45 minutes to get hot.

I just thought I'll let you know.

Any ideas?

That sounds serious.....could be a short or transformer malfunction? Voltage conflict?
I wouldn't mess with something like that .....bring it on for service before something worse happens & get it checked out I'm sure it should be getting hot like that you dont want a fire.

You're not the first to report heat in this area. And, one of the folks that reported the problem said the keyboard was not turned up high, and Yamaha suggested that one of the vents may be blocked. Might want to check this out farther.

Good Luck,

Gary

Unfortunately, opening up the back of most keyboards will automatically void any warranty. Be careful and make sure you don't do anything that will void an active warranty.

Thanks Gary, in my case it was not turned up high either, I'm disappointed because in the past with my PSR540, PSR740 and PSR2000 I had zero problems....
