I know someone posted this before but I couldn't search for it. I'm looking for a carrying case for my PA80 and someone posted a place that sells decent case. Can you please repost this?

Many thanks,
..rb

I just got a new case in today from Gator Cases in Florida. It is a padded (heavy) case with wheels and a pull out handle. It's size is great. I like that inside the case, if it is a little bigger, there are two velcro straps to hold the keyboard in firmly. I've been waiting since the NAMM show for this case. It is more heavy duty than the case Uncle Dave and Scott Yee recommend for the PSR2000 made by the Ace case company.
This case comes in 2 sizes: 61 and 76. The 76 is the one that fits the PA80, WK8, Solton X1, Ketron SD1, Roland VA7 and VA76, etc. The price for the 61 is $99.00 and the 76 is $119.00.

Hi George,
Does this case have a metal handle 0r a light
made handle thats on this Kaces Porter.
They also need some kind of a slide on the back side, or you will soon wear the material clear through pulling it up over curbs. I bought the thing so I could get it up & down stairs. I find I can't do that
besides wearing out the case draging it over the steps, I find that the handle is to flimsy and unsafe to handle the waight!
I have bad lungs, and it's hard for me to carry anything to far! Sometines I have stairs. I always do at home.
My music room is upstairs.
Be nice to have one with bigger wheels & one you could drag up a set of stairs!
It's sure good to be back home!
All the best,
Nobby

Nobby,
the handle is made out of plastic but yes, there are two long plastic slides on the bottom of the case for laying down or sliding up stairs.

George,
I can't locate a Gator cases that has the PA-80 dimensions: 43.7"W, 15.3"D, 6.45"H!

The only one that's close is the model GK-261, which has 43.2"W, 18"D, 6.25"H. Which one do you have?

Thanks,
..rb

rb,
I just tried the PA80 in the 61 note size and it's snug, but it fit. I had to push the back down into the case, but I think it will stretch a little after it is used a couple of times. The case I have been selling is the 76 note model. When the PA80 goes into this one there is 8" of extra space but this could be used for pedals, mics, etc. The nice thing are the two sewn in velcro staps which hold the keyboard in snug. These two 4 1/2" straps have nice pading which hold the keyboard solidly in the case. both cases have this. I would prefer the larger 76 note case, but the 61 note should also be OK. It is a tight fit however.
The total length of the 61 note is 44 1/2" vs the 76 note at 53".

rb,
the models of my gator cases are:
GK-61
GK-76
the model you looked up, GK261 is a polyethylene case (hardshell case) which has a list price of $249.99, not the GK-61 which has a list rice of $129.99.
Here's what the catalog says about the GK61 and GK76:
"Fantastic protection, yet lightweight. Totally reinforced sides and top with wheels and pull-out handle. Unique double-belted system for securing the keyboard during transportation. Perfect for the weekend warrior!"
The case they make called the GK-276 is too narrow for the PA80 and other arranger keyboards, so these will not work!
