Does anyone know of any freeware or inexpensive software that can loop video
clips in perfect sync, so for instance, a rhythm guitar part can be shown for a
student and the riff can be repeated over
and over smoothly(like ACID does to audio)?
The format of the video(mpeg1/2, AVI)is not
important, but mpeg1 would be preferred.
I think it would be really cool if video loops could be played much like an arranger keyboard plays it's style parts.
Thanks for any help.

My advice is to try Studio 7.0 by Pinnacle; I use this program to edit my videos and it works great (I could even record an audio track with my keyboard or paste a wave file from a CD...whatever). And it's rather inexpensive too. Here is the link: http://www.pinnaclesys.de

Dreamer, thanks for your help.
I am already using Pinnacle Studio7.
In clip edit mode, there is a clip trimmer
and loop player. However, there is a lag
time between when the loop ends and restarts
that throws off the musical timing.
I could live with a slightly jumpy video,
but the audio must be smoothly looped with
no delay or it's musically worthless.
I was wondering if there is some software
that could do this properly.

Sure there is: The famous Adobe Premier 6.0 and Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.5 which I prefer over Adobe because it's more user friendaly. http://www.ulead.com/msp/runme.htm

Maged, thanks very much for your recommendations. The two programs you
mentioned are unfortunately out of my price
range. Is there other software out there
that can do the seemless looping that is
freeware or at least inexpensive(<$100)?

Vquestor,
go to www.magix.com

They have a program called Magix Studio Maker 7 deLuxe. It supports mpeg and AVI files, it's perfet for what you are looking for and the price is under $100.
Hope this help,
good luck!

Thanks SK880, but Vegas Video 3 is way too expensive.
Maximo, I can't find Studio Maker 7 deluxe.
Do you mean Studio 7 Deluxe?
Thanks.
