Gang-

It sure didn't take very long for me to nearly exceed the storage capacity on the Music Pad Pro. Freehand included a Sandisk 64 MB thumbdrive. I've got just 40 files in my MPP folder (18.5MB) with a couple hundred to go, so obviously, I need to buy a larger thumb drive...

How big do I go?

A 1 GB for about $35.00?
A 2 GB for about $55.00?
A 4 GB for about $75.00?

Something entirely different?

Ideas?

Thanks-

Bill

I have been using the 2GB Sandisk Cruiser. I remember there were problems with combatibility with larger sticks, and some other brands.

I would go with the above.

I agree with Bernie, I'm using a San Disk Cruiser and it has worked flawlessly. Mine is 1 gig, I have 1100 plus scanned about a quarter of them more than 2 pages long and I'm still using only 297 MB of the actual 976 mb that are on the stick. I don't see myself running out of space anytime soon. If I were using the MP3 capability of the v4 of then a large stick that would be in order

My Fostex mr8 recorder has a capacity of 2GB, so, I'd make sure of tech specs. Actually, it uses a compact flash card, not a thumb drive. Also, some of the CF cards are much faster than others but you have to make sure they work with your device. You might buy two, one for backup!

Guys-

Just want to mention I'm using the 3.1.5 version of Music Pad pro. I did visit the Freehand Message Boards but most postings I found in my search seem to relate to the newer 4.0 version.

I'll call those folks today and get a clarification as to what brands/size I can use...

Thanks-

Bill

UPDATE:

Based on the above suggestions, I bought a 2.0 GB, SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive. It seems to be large enough that I won't need to maxing it out any time soon...

I paid $37.90 plus tax for the unit at Staples.

It also works just fine with the MPP. I guess there were some compatability issues with newer releases...

Thanks-

FWIW I use a 4GB SanDisk Micro Cruiser - no problems. I use v4.0.6 and store MP3 files and .fh files on my MPP. My 4GB drive is about half full.
