If this subject is covered in a faq which I didn't see, please excuse me, or feel free to flame away. Whatever.

I've checked many a BBS, called my local Korg dealer, written Korg, called Korg, but have yet to find out: a)can I buy an updated Rom chip for my i3, b)if I can, how much does it cost, and c)if I can, where do I get it? Let's see if any folks here can help me. So far all I've been met with is blank looks and shrugs.

Thanks all,

Joe

yes, a Rom upgrade #58 exists
it has save BSQ as standard midi as main
feature,
there are also harddisk and styles
memory extensions
see http://musitronics.de/indexe.html

haven't upgraded but you can find info
at
http://www2.iicm.edu/korgmaillist
(korg e-mail list and old articles)

in email list you find some persons who upgraded.

you can also write to www.korg.net e-mail support

it is hard to find because the ROM upgrade
isn't developed and distributed by Korg self.
