Can anyone comment on the keys? I had a psr 530, 630 , & then 640 and then a yamaha ex-5.
I hated the psr series for two things - i get bored hearing the same sounds and secondly, the keys are flimpsy and also not full size/ semi-weighted. I have always loved to tweak sounds and so moved to ex-5 which is an amazing keyboard w.r.t sounds and also the feel of the keys were awesome. but, i badly missed the accompaniment feature and it had a lot of bugs (yamaha's keyboard are well known for bugs, i guess).

Now, i decided to get an accompaniment keyboard and buy a synth module for more sounds. does any of the arranger keyboards have semi-weighted keys? or am i better off buying a arranger module and a synth keyboard/controller ?

hi, thanks for your replies. I do know that there are 76 key arrangers but i prefer the sounds/features of psr9000 or solton x1. Can someone comment on the keys of solton x1 in particular? are they semiweighted keys/full size keys? are the keys of psr 9000 better than 8000 ?

How easy is the solton x4 module to use? midi capabilities with an yamaha, korg or roland keyboard / controller ? anyone knows the selling price (not the retail) of x4 ?

also, can someone tell me how easy is to tweak the sounds in solton x1?

thanks
ram

It is very easy to edit sounds on the X1/X4. Just push the edit voice function key and you're there! At this point you can change filter, envelope, LFO, etc. and then hit save/enter and you can save your sound. The 8000 and 9000 keyboards are the same action, and as Fran said the X1 is semi-weighted. The keys look just like any other 61 note synth keyboard, but if you feel under the key you will feel a glued in weight. This is what makes it semi weighted. The selling price for a X4 will vary because there will be 4 different models offered. If you want prices you will have to contact one of us dealers directly. I don't quote discount prices on this forum. This forum is primarily to discuss topics and ask questions about keyboards and the way they work.
