A while back I got a call for a duo gig ... I called a few of the people I've worked with in RI and who was already booked, or had another commitment, whatever ... so, I decided to call the sax player I played with for 26 years in NY and invited him and his wife (we all are best of friends) to spend a weekend with us, and to bring his tux and his sax ...
We 'jammed' for about 1 1/2 hours on Saturday morning and did the gig without a hitch that night ... it was ALMOST like the 'old days' ... I REALLY miss that band ...

Here is a link to a pic ...

Tony, in my world, music is to be played with others. I use a long-time friend/sax/flute player, or a superior guitar player as often as the money allows. Sometimes (several times a month, it's 4 or 5 pieces.

I understand the fun you two had!

Tony thanks for posting the photo. Man, gotta tell ya you looked very relaxed now that your retired. Looks like you've been getting some sun. Tough duty on that golf course, eh?

BTW, I saw Dr. B last week, tells me your one his best patients!

thnx for the replies, guys ...

RETIRED?!?!? ...only from the day job, which wasn't a bad job at all ... but now when people ask, I say I am a Professional Musician !!!

Steve, the 5 days golfing in Ocean City were glorious, but a lot of the color also came from gardening around the house ...
I can't wait to see Dr. B on the 12th ... bending the knee to 117 degrees, which I am told is pretty darn good ...

BTW ... I will be subbing for Diamond at Shamrocks with Phil Mullin on Thursday, July 5 ..
