I just did it again. It is 6.6 megs and it took me 11 minutes.
1. Go to the main page.
2. Click on Downloads
3. Select products
4. Select Free version
5. Fill out the info and download

I already own Norton Anti-Virus 2004 (included with Norton SystemWorks 2004), but curious if there's any avantage now, for me to switch to AVG. Thanks. - Scott

Don't know. You might try it. I don't believe Adaware would block it. It's just a zip file.

Scott,
I have Norton on my PC and AVG on the laptop. When my subscription to Norton runs out, I will use AVG on both. I don't know whether there is an advantage other than the price.

mike,

If you have a Firewall such as Norton Personal Firewall - DISABLE IT. Then try again to connect to the AVG site and try downloading the file. Sometimes a Firewall will not allow access to certain sites and or files. See if that helps. If you don't have a Firewall make sure all your security settings in your Browser are set to "default". Also if you have an existing anti-virus program on your computer try 'disabling' it to see if that helps. PS: After you try to download the file again, whether succesfull or not, don't forget to re-enable your Firewall and Anti-Virus programs afterwards.

Best regards,
Mike

Mike you have to keep trying cause I tried to download it and it wasn't easy, I guess the surver is either busy or something wrong there.
If you have a high speed connection I can send you what you want it is 6.38MB so if you can recieve through your mail that much at one time, I will send it to you with the code as well, I don't need it.

Tony.
