Mp3 "For Good" from the musical "Wicked," personally sequenced using Jos Maas' Busker 3.0 and Michael Bedesem's Midiplayer 6.7.6 with my Tyros 2. Please give me your constructive comments.

Tomorrow I am singing "For Good" at an annual hospice memorial service. If you're not familiar with the lyrics, google "For Good" +Wicked. It's a great song. I hope you enjoy my rendition. An mp3 is linked in the previous post.

Charles:

Instrumentation and feel was appropriate for the sound. I found the guitar comping to be too often off-beat and rushed. To me it was very distracting. Perhaps if fits will with the vocals. Not hearing the vocals I can't tell. But in isolation, I find the backing track problematic.

Charles,

Please clarify: am I listening to the backing track to your vocals? I didn't get the melody of the song?

Excellent job Charles. Your instrumentation sounds beautiful and moving. It would be the perfect backdrop to your vocals.

The MP3 file you posted at the poor bit rate of 56kpbs does not do justice. However, I can mentally translate to hear in my head how the Tyros2 actually sounds with the instruments you used in your sequence. Great work!!!! Keep it up. I would like to hear more of your work.

If you can sing as well as you play, you will be a hit tomorrow at your annual memorial service.

George and others

Yes, this will be my "accompaniment." My voice will primarily carry the melody line, but as this song is very new to me, I need more than just a hint of it to aid me in singing. I've been hoping it's not too prominent in the music. It is easy for me to detect, but I know what to listen for.

Thanks to everyone for your comments.

Charles
