Hi all,
During one of our wine tastings at my friend's neighborhood, the host asked me to check out her accordion. It was left by her dad and nobody can play it...obviously the 'keyboard' part was easy, but I couldn't make sense of how to play the other side of the accordion. From tinkering with it about 10 minutes, I know that the first row of buttons were basses, some of the other rows were chords.

I'm hoping somebody here can share a quick tutorial and/or show me some links on how to play an accordion?

Start here, with a description of the Stradella Bass System used on most piano accordions. As you will see, the bass system is very easy to understand after learning how it is organized.
