My technics kn6500 is connected to channel 2 ....can I connect my other keyboard (roland va5) to another channel ?
There are for channels but I don't to wich channel I can connect the second keyboard.
Thanks,

Normally it's no problem as long as you have
inputs/channels enough to handle this.
If you have 4 ch. then use 1 and 2 for keyb.1
and 3 and 4 for the second.
Or 1 for mic, and 2 and 3 for keyboard, or
you can use mono output from keyb., then you
have to use only 2 channels.

You can even connect the VA to the inputs on
the KN6500, and then the sound goes to the
line-input you have KN connected.

A good solution is maybe to use a mixer to
plug in keyboards, mic, guitar or what you want,
and then connect to the amp.

How do I connect the two keyboards ?
So my kn6500 is connected to my amplifier ....when I connect the va5 to the kn6500 and I play with my va5 will the sound be produced in the amplifier ...?
Or with a mixer as you say...how does this work and what kind of mixer...(not th mix the soop I presume)...are ther expensive ?
Thanks,
Alain

Alain,
You don't need another mixer because your amp has on built in. If you want to hear from the keyboard speakers, plug the secon keyboard right INTO the inputs on the back of the first keyboard. Then you plug the first kb into the amp (any channel) and you will hear both.
The Roland amp has a stereo mixer, but it is a MONO power amp, so unless you have a second amp - just use one mono connection coming out of the main kb. You will still hear the stereo imaging from the keyboard's internal speakers.

Whoops! You have a KC300. That one is a mono mixer. I thought it was a KC500. Same end result.

Hi again Alain.

If you use cable from the line output on the VA and connect it to the
"aux in" at the back of your KN, you'll sendt the sound to the same
channel as you already use in your amp.
And yes, you'll hear the sound in the amps speakers as well.

I'll try to explain in a simle way:
A mixer is a "box" with many inputs/lines, and you can adjust several
functions such as volumes, balance before you send all the sound to the
amp with i.e. only one left and one right cable, or a single mono.
Mixers you can buy in all kind of sizes/channels and prices.
You can also send i.e. mic. sound to external DSP and return signal
with effects as echo and plate etc.

Myself I use a Behringer MX1604A and it works just great, but I could
probably managed well with a MX802A for homeuse.
Behringer is also low priced regarding to high quality and value you got
for your money.

BTW,
very often you'll see that modelnumbers tell you something about the
capasity of the product, i.e:

MX 1604 = 16 channels mixed down to 2 or 4 outputs.
MX 802 = 8 channels mixed down to 2

Alain,

If you have a Roland KC300, you already have a 4 channel mixer onboard. Since you only have 1 KC300, your output will be in mono. If you want stereo, you need to get another KC300 and connect them with the link cable. But one KC300 works just fine.

Connect your mono output (usually L) from your KN6500 to Channel 2 (Left/mono) on the KC300, and then connect your VA5 to Channel 3 (Left/mono). Adjust the volume knobs 2, 3 and master. This should do it for you...
