What to do think companys can do in regards the computer application of your arranger keyboard ?
USB ? SCSI ?
Processors ? Chips ? Ram ? Hard drives etc................

It's time for SCSI to be laid to rest. It was needed when processors could not handle the load imposed when accessing hard disks. Now it is not necessary. Also, the floppy should be forsaken in favor of removable flash memory--preferably CompactFlash. USB based flash readers are widely available for computers.

Korg and Yamaha are adopting mLan for computer connectivity so this may become a standard. I like the idea of adding a USB port to keyboards as a connector for a controller--e.g., a Microsoft Simulator joystick used as a MIDI controller. Of course, USB is already being used as an alternative to a MIDI port.
