I'm now a proud and happy owner of a PA80 bought from George Kaye Music Scene. The keyboard came with a 12Gig hard drive and I loaded all the styles from various keyboards in to my hard drive - must be more than 1000 of them (for later use, of course). After a week "studying" this board, I'm beginning to play the PA80 now instead of IT playing me

Thanks George for all your services!

rb,
I'm glad your enjoying your PA80.......I only wish I could get more soon! Korg has been sold out for over a month now and because of the theft that occured in New York where dozens were stolen, they have become very very backordered.
Nothing makes me happier then a satisfied customer!
Regards,
George Kaye

George,

I took the drive you shipped with the PA80 out and reformatted with FAT32 and now have over 10GB left. It was formatted with FAT16 (maxed out at 2gig) when it arrived. I reloaded everything you sent in that HD with about 2000 more midi files (non-English), plus all the converted styles from the PSRs, X1, E86, G1000, and still have more than 10Gig left!!! Any suggestion on what else to put in there?

If you start sampling in the keyboard you will find you need the space for storing your samples. If you won't be sampling, you will have tons of memory for storing songs and styles you might create yourself or download from the internet. I formated the drive with version 3.1 and later I was told by Malcomb at Korg that 3.1 had a problem with hard drive partition space and that it was better to use 3.0 instead for this exact reason.

It took too long to do things in the PA80 so I took the drive out, mounted on my PC and do all the formatting and managing that way - much much faster! Especially when I create, rename, and moved nested directories!
