I put this post in the Yamaha arranger section but I've copied it in here in case anyone is interested in my first experience with the HD recorder in the T2.

.......................

I've just started to play around with the T2 HD recorder. Thi is a new area for me but I have found it relatively painless.

I have put a link to a snippet of something I have just recorded. This is a first attempt so I think I have probably overdone the backing.

Although I gig out and sing I have recorded my daughter on vocals on this one.

It's a shame that you cant save each individual track so that you can mix to a better balance at the end instead of just overdubbing each time.

This is a simple recording but I'm pleased at how easy it is to get an OK result.

I didn't use the arranger this time but I will next time and I'll probably inflict my own vocals on you - You have been warned.

The song is probably not known outside of the UK so you won't be able to tell the mistakes (hehe)- It was recorded by Will Young who won the UK Pop Idol Contest a couple of years back.

Here is the link: http://www.4shared.com/file/2425474/25dd3548/anything_is_possible2.html

Any comments are welcome.

Regards - KFingers

Great recording/playing/singing.
Your daughter's voice sounds professional.

If you have more stuff to share, please post it.

babylon it's a song that was written for the
UK pop idol winner a few years ago, which was won by Will Young (Gareth Gates should have won it, he came second but then again he has flopped now so I suppose Will was right all along lol).
It got to no.1 in the UK charts and sold a very large amount. Just goes to show that UK people will buy anything

Thanks all for your kind comments. I'm still trying to get the hang of the T2 recorder.

I'm fine with straight forward recording but not the punching in and out thing.

I think I'll stick to one-shot recordings until I have worked it out.
