Hello Everyone!

I currently own a Yamaha PSR-2100 and I usually do 1-MAN-BAND weddings. So far, I am very happy with the 2100 but I'm looking to upgrade.

I can't afford the Tyros-2 and the PSR-3000 is more in my range but am I really "upgrading" all that much if I buy the 3000?

Also, can you tell me what other keyboards that is better than the PSR 2100? I saw the DEMO for the Roland GW-7 and is shocked to hear the price is only around $600-$700.

Thank you for your input in advance!

Get the PSR3000 & dont look back!! Nothing offeres more features combined with great sound in that range.

Good Luck

Hello JohnLe,

I'm owning GW-7, it has great sounds (including many new wonderful ethic sounds). However, it doesn't have as many functions as PSR-3000 has.
In my opinion, as for sounds only, GW-7 is a good choice with resonable price.
Combining 2100 + GW-7 is the best solution (more than what PSR-3000 can do)

Good luck

Hi John. If you can't afford Tyros1/2, and want to purchase a new kb now, I recommend the PSR3000. Excellent value keyboard choice, and upwardly comppatible with your exisiting keyboard, plus the advantage of having the same OS navigtation system you've become familiar with on your PSR2100. Big Improvement advantages include better keyboard feel, mega voices, color LCD screen and removable USB storgage instead of a floppy drive. The other option of course, if you can wait, would be hold off till the PSR3000 replacement appears. Unfortunately, no one knows for sure whether it will be out this summer, fall, or peprhaps not until next year. - Scott

PS: My apologies for not having responded via private email earlier.

Wait for the PSR3000 replacement. Personally I'm waiting for it. I would be kicking myself if I bought one now and a replacement came out at the end of the Year with more Mega voices and some SA voices. There will be a big difference between a PSR2100 and a PSR3100, IMO.

Great stuff guys! I demo'd the PSR 1500 (3000 was not on display) and I'm sure the 3000 does alot more but I think waiting maybe the answer. Thanks. Until then, I'll keep trucking with the PSR-2100.

Thanks again!
