I am currently playing a Technics KN6500 (plus a Hot rodded Hammond T202 organ)

My dilema is thus.

I like my KN and have some stonking styles on floppy, but I play live! When I want to play - I want to play NOW.

The floppy takes an age to load anything

So I am thinking of an upgrade, but do I choose a KN7000 with SD cards and NX sound or a Yam PSR3000 ?

I have played both for a short time but not back-to-back to compare the two.

I like the KN's display and ease of use, but I think the PSR sounded better with the Mega sounds. But the setup is not as simple and the display is tiny.

I can buy both for around the same money but would appreciate any comments.

The alternative is to get a hard disk for my KN65 but this is £350 if I can find one, and thats the difference between selling the 65 and buy a 7000 or 3000 !

If you are used to a Kn6500 Vitesse I would think that the 7000 option is the better. Whilst the PSR3000 is undoubtedly a fine board it cannot have the same quality of build as the 7000. I switched from the 6500 to the 7000 and the SD card makes a staggering difference in loading times which are almost instantaneous with the newer board.
