DNJ,
Yeah Baby!!
Thank you, I think thats the most enjoyable link you've ever shared. That can make or break ya all depending how much you love music, it'll either inspire you to play or to quit. Me? I'll play!
I've loved music my entire life and I'll never quit.
Yeah Baby!!

Great stuff.

When I think about it despite all the great pianists Oscar is my all time favorite. His influence on that You Tube demo is unmistakable.

I started listening to Oscar in 1968 when I was a part time radio announcer at WPRO-FM in Providence, RI. At that time there was a radio format called "Beautiful Music" sometimes it may have been refered to as "MOR" i.e. Middle of the Road, that's what PRO-FM played at the time. We had a few Oscar Peterson albums including "A Jazz Portrait of Frank Sinatra" Although Oscar was on the playlist his tunes were scheduled infrequently. That didn't stop me from trying to play lots more of the cuts from that album. One night while on the 7 PM to midnight shift the program director called me to tell me take it easy on the Jazz, that's not what our listeners want to hear.
