Hello friends,

I wonder If any of you have some experiences with this keyboard amp.
Don't tell me it is heavy, I Know that!

I need a good amp in a band situation, not for one man arranger performances, and where I mainly use the Roland VR-760.

In the rare occasions I play alone with an arranger I have a PA which is suffucient, but
it's too much carrying in the band situation, so I want to limit this to one amp with enough headroom.

I am particulary interested if the lesly simulation of this amp survives with extra amplification through large PA systems.
(6000 watt or more)

Miked?? or line out??

thanks for comments.

Fred

I play in a 7 piece band with a Tyros and Korg TE. I run stereo with a Behringer PMX2000 powered mixer and two Peavey PR15 lightweight speakers. Total cost of setup: 229+129+129=$590.00!!! Admittedly, the PMX2000 was increased to $349.00.

I get astounding stereo projection into the audience, I'm always heard with the Guitarist and Basist, and my setup also doubles for doing DJ work during breaks and for special occaisions.

I've tried many other amps, and they just don't cut it like this setup does.

Fred,
That beast is a MONSTER, but it does sound good. I would prefer 2 smaller amps to one large one in a band, but space is always a concern, so maybe this would be a good option for you. Just send a stereo feed from the LINE OUTS to the main PA and you're set to go.
I would never want to be near an amp that can be as loud as that one is, but that's not the popular opinion in the band world. I'd much rather protect my hearing.

I know this is a little off topic, but I picked up a Motion Sound PRO 145 last night to use for the weekend hoping I can get it to sound good with my C2 and my V-combo both. So far it sounds TREMENDOUS with the V-Combo, but kinda average with the C2.

It is just scary how the Roland sounds through that cab.

I'll spend tomorrow tweaking it to the C2 and if I can get it to perk I'll probably buy it.

My guess is the reverb in the VK sets it above the C2. The effects can really change the tone of any instrument.

Had one; didn't like it. I traded a Peavey KB300a away for it. Miss the Peavey every day. I've got a VR760 and it is wonderful. If the G70 is a kissing cousin, I'm in real soon.
