I was recently advised by a fellow musician to listen to some recordings of 'Brian Setzer' so I purchased 3 albums recently! well if you want a bit of inspiration in your music then do yourself a favour and download some MP3's or buy/borrow an album/s of this guy and his band, Mr Setzer is a phenomenal guitarist/singer backed by a really hot Glen Miller type big band.I realy hope that one day they'll make arrangers that sound like Mr Setzer's band.

Brian started out with a much smaller band. Then he got a bigger band and single handedly re-introduced swing to the youth of America. I had the privilage of seeing him and his big band preform. What a night. On Brian's newest album, he has gone back to a smaller band (3 or 2 piece).

Brian rose to fame as the guitarist for the Stray Cats in the 80s. They of course were a 3 piece rockabilly outfit. Not the big band sound of his latest projects, but great music and guitar playing all the same.

Just to put a plug in for one of us Canucks, a guy from deepest Saskatchewan is definitely worth a listen if you're into the Brian Setzer genre. Have a listen to Colin James who is essentially a blues belter but can swing with the best of 'em. Ripper guitarist, too.
