For those of us who are not in the G-70 marlet, what's the skinny on the new EXR-7S?

It seems that they changed the color, included 168 styles compared to the EXR7 which comes with 84 rom styles and 19 flash memory styles, has 4MB of internal memory compared to 1.5MB in the EXR7 and that's about the difference.
Comparing this to the G70 would not be even close. The Price for the EXR7s is still $995.00 just like the EXR7.

I am new to the synthzone forums. Received a link from the Danish G-70 site to here!
Have been looking around and it looks like a GREAT place to be! So thanks for having me here everyone!

George, I agree that making a comparison between the G-70 and the EXR-7s is a hard comparison to justifiably make. But I have to say that adding a bunch of new styles and increasing the flash memory to 4MB while keeping the same MSRP, is a great step! For those folks that don't want to ante up for a G-70 (I did and don't regret it one bit) the add ons to the EXR-7 in the new model at the same price sets a great precedent for arranger manufacturers. Instead of adding a few new features and pumping the price by 1 2 or even 3 hundred to make more profit, the value is certainly increased! I am happy to see Roland doing this and if I didn't have G-70 already, I guess I might consider the EXR-7s.
