Ok...

I will be purchasing a new keyboard within
the next month, and i need some information
on which one to choose.

I want a keyboard with limited that is mostly
made up of instruments such as:
E.P
Piano
Organs
Guitars
Strings
Brass
Wind

I want very limited samples... by this i mean
songs you play along to. I stricktly want instruments. I want very good
quality from those instruments as well. I
would also like a fair amount of instruments,
such as at least 10 in each catagory.

I am looking to spend 1,500ish, and wondering
if anyone could direct me on something.

What about a Motif Rack used (not the ES rack) then two controllers. One weighted, like a Fatar SL880 and one lightweight, a used XP-60. All that should keep you around 1500. Just a thought. I know the XP engine is a little old but it's good and the XP-60 is expandable with a good sequencer. The 88 weight keys will give you a nice piano feel, the light weight keys might be better for the organs, brass, strings stuff.

With the two synths (XP-60 and Mo Rack) you'd be able to layer some nice stuff.

Anyway. best wishes on your search.

The Yamaha sounds right in your alley, not really the ES, the original will do just well and save you alot! If you feel the need to get the ES more power to you.

BTW the XP-60 does not have weighted keys, its just a 61 with synth action. The Xp-80 is 76 keys. I saw a wonderful deal on an XP-80 for 500 bucks, if your interested.

I do think that the Motif is for you in you requests, however the Roland Fantom is another excellent, choice. Take a look at it, or read my review in the General Arrangers forum, (it should still be on page one)
