I just got my G-70 recently. I am used to the Yamaha user interfance (QY-70, Tyros) where it is possible to enter the chords that the arranger should play. It is specially handy to be able to instruct the keyboard what chord should be played on each beat. Then, you can let the keyboard play the basis of the song while concentrating on the melody (handy for composers).

The only way to do this on G-70 is to hand-play the chords and record the song like that. But for people like me (I don't know how to play all the chords with my hand) it is not enough user-friendly just to be able to hand-play the chords.

Can anyone help me? Isn't it possible to write the names of the cords to each beat? Do you have to hand-play them on the G-70?

The function you're looking for was present in some old Roland arrangers and was named 'Chord Sequencer'.
This function has died some years ago and not so many people cried at its funeral, so Roland has never revived it.
