Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. It seems kinda sill to me too, but, that's how Korg made it.
So, my workaround is... Save all of my user styles to disk to be reloaded at my pleasure ( and back them up on a hard drive ). Then save my newly modified or recorded style to a user slot, then ( with style protection off ), save the new user style to an internal style. Why you have to do these extra steps, I cannot answer, but that's how they set it up.

Stam, I don't have an internal hard drive, so I may not be the best to answer this, but I'll try. All I do, is save my new style from the pattern seqeuncer to an internal user style. Then I have to go back into disk function, and save the newly created user style to a floppy disk ( I'm guessing it would work the same way as an internal hard drive ) . Then I can load the new style from the floppy disk into any of the current internal styles. I know, that it seems kinda crazy to have to do all of that, but I see no other shortcuts around it. Hope this helps,
AJ
