I have arthritis in my hands so covering complex chords is difficult. Is there any way to get single finger chords without having a backing arrangement playing? I've been able to do this on an old Casio keyboard I own and it really helps with practicing a new tune.

Since nobody answered you I thought I give it a try ('cause honestly I just feel sorry about it).

Anyway, to my knowledge Yamaha and Casio have this capability, but not Roland. I do not own va-7 so I maybe completely wrong.

Hi Calvin,
I have and old PSR-510 Yamaha Board.
You can shut of all the auto rythmns & backgrounds. As long as it's set for one finger chords, you will get a continious chord as long as you hold the key down. If you want you can turn on just the drums& the bass. The bass will follow what ever style &
rythmn speed you have set up.
Like New Yorker I know nothing about the VA-7
Hope you find out what you need to know.
I know there hast to be some VA-7's around here!
Regards,
Nobby
