Today I got my G70. I was very disappointed that there were no styles from previous Roland keyboards loaded into the G70 memory.

With the keyboard there was a CD containing some USB drivers and update info for the keyboard.

Hi,
it's not usual that the new keyboard contains the old styles too.
As I changed from PSR 8000 to 9000, I missed many preset styles. Some styles did fool me, having the same name as the old 8000 styles, but contains a completely different style.
One example "Disco Fox" in 8000 a 70's German Schlager Polka Pop, in 9000 a 90's German Schlager Disco Style.
If I had access to a G1000 or VA 7/76 I would store the styles to floppy and load these to G 70 , if not I would ask a G 1000/ VA7/76 owner for this.
Note, the old styles contains only 2 variations.
Here you may find interesting styles

You can copy the styles from the Va7 and load them to the G70 ONLY through floppy. I have a zip drive attached to my computer and I tried to copy the style to the G70 from the VA7 zip to the internal memory (G70) but it didnt work. The G70 still uses the same database and index fon on the previous models.

Hello everybody!

You should be able to put the new style in the internal memory (using USB connection), in a specific folder, then the Database will be updated and the imported style will be available.
You can also link a custom Style in the Style selection pages.

Hope to be useful...
