Can anyone suggest a reliable MIDI-usb RACK-MOUNTABLE interface for recording on PC?

All you need is a cable between your keyboard's midi out and the USB. Edirol UM-1 does an excellent job and sells for about $45 in most music stores. If you have a PSR-2000, 3000 or Tyros, there are inexpensive cables that cost less than $10 that will do the job.

Even an M-audio Uno does the job and I think
they go for less than the Roland (around $30)

Hello Vadim,

I have been using a MidiMan Midisport 4x4 for more than three years, it is not rack mountable but they make a 8x8 model which is rack mountable. I like midisport because they always update their drivers.

Here is a link to 8x8:

I have also heard good things about the Edirol UM-880. I might upgrade to it in the near future since I am running out of Midi Ports on 4x4 already. Here is the link to Edirol UM-880:

Let me know what interface you end up buying since I am looking for a rack mountable interface also.
