In another thread I told about a very good musician playing at a weddingparty.
Because he is a musicteacher he owns a G70 and a Tyros2.
He played G70-styles and a lot of userstyles and among them Mart Weeho-styles and converted Tyros2-styles.
At weddings he plays the G70 because ,he said the G70 plays more like a real band and the Tyros2-styles sound on a G70 even better than on the Tyros2 itself.
What I heared was very very good.

I find it hard to believe that Tyros 2 styles sound better on a G70 because the G70 doesn't have anything that compares or even comes close to the Super Articulation sounds on a T2. Also going through the converting process, the styles rarely ever come close to the original.
Maybe someone could post an MP3 of the same style on a T2 then the G70 version playing it back, it would be nice to see this demonstrated

Craig we all know how you react everytime someone says something positive about a G70.
That is why your reactions can not be taken as real facts and they are not serious.

Everytime someone says something about a G70 on here no one ever backs up their big mouth by posting proof of how good or bad it sounds. I've only ever seen Neilsh post stuff for the G70 and even he is now moving over to the Tyros 2.
There was nothing wrong whatsoever with my posting above, I simply put if this person thinks T2 styles sound better coming of of a G70 then lets hear the damn things!
So in future you should try reading what I typed before spouting off on one.

I also dont believe that the T2 styles sound better on a G70, or that the G70 styles sound better on the T2.
But i can hear the several demo's on the T2 and from the G70/E80 you cant find any nice sounding demo's or songs ???
Why is everybody so sharp when we are saying something about the G70/E80 ??
It is stil a piece of electronics made by big companys who want to sell a lott of this units.
And Yamaha make's great steps in sound developing and Roland didn't dont blame Yamaha (and his enthousiast owners) that Roland missed the boat !
They make the best hardware keyboard(G70) but its sound old aged.
Just my opinion.

Craig, remember that I have decided to keep my G-70 because it beets the Tyros2 in many ways. I have played the Tyros2 for a week now, and yes its a good sounding keyboard with a lot of great styles. The G-70 sounds more like a real band and the Tyros2 sounds more like a cd-recording. So its a matter of taste what you like. I like them both.

I know you still have your G70 as you love it to bits. I'm glad that you also like the Tyros 2 so you now have the best of both worlds.
If you'd have gone for the E80 though you would more or less have had 2 G70's. Having heard the E80 it is very similar sounding to the G70 but I refuse to comment on the E80 hehe, I'll let the others get an ear bashing instead

Been away a while swamped with work and not been able to spend any time online.
Can't quite believe however that I come back and this tired old tosh is still going on!

As a G70 owner however good/bad I think it is I cannot believe that the Ty 2 styles sound better on it than they do on the Ty itself. That would be crazy. I've never used a converted style yet that played as well as it does on the board for which it was intended. (and I've owned a lot of boards).

I have not played the converted TY styles on the G70 so of course I can't be certain but past experience gives me confidence to have the utmost faith in my statements above.

Craig, I also posted a G70 recorded MP3 (although I don't suggest for a moment that it compares with nielshs mastery of the board).

It was a version of 'Easy for you' if you remember and was just recorded as I sat here playing for my own enjoyment and the dog's displeasure Hence it was littered with mistakes and possibly (read definately) not the best showcase for the G70. Still my musical inneptitude and recording ability aside I don't think it sounded quite as bad as many would have us believe the G70 is?

Believe me if I can make it sound half way presentable it can't be all bad

My point is that whatever board we buy/play surely we don't have to validate our choices by pouring scorn on the choices that others have made.

BTW that was not a criticism of Craig as some G70 owners on here seem to displaying remarkable immaturity provocated or not!
