Hi AJ,
I was just browsing Jos's "what's new vers8"
http://www.1manband.nl/whatsnew.htm
re : those with more than 1 synth. It says something about attaching sonar or cubase & vst instruments, is this the way you've always used OMB & your soft synths ?

As you may remember I use Forte.

best wishes
Rikki

Yes Rikki. I use OMB and then run it into Sonar or FL Studio. I have midi yoke installed on the computers, so I just Output OMB's midi out to a midi yoke port and then use that port as the input to Sonar / FL Studio, or any other host that has midi in capability.

I'm not familiar at all with Forte, but as long as it has midi in capability, this would work for you as well.

Thanks AJ,
I must have misunderstood what Jos was saying.
I thought he meant being able to use sonar or cubase was a new feature. He must have been reffering to being able to assign a mixture of instruments to the individual midi channels.

Ok, I see what you were referring to now Rikki. The new version of OMB will allow for more than one Midi Output port. This changes little for me, since Sonar and FL Studio ( along with some of the other apps I've used ) already supported multiple midi out ports, but for someone who might want to use a SB card / port as a soundfont host along with a vst host device, or two or more host devices, this would allow you to go directly from OMB to two or more different hosts, instead of outputting all of OMB's midi data into a single host and then routing it elsewhere using multiple outputs from that host.
