In the words of Don M .." The silence is STILL deafening ". No response to my calls or emails regarding this matter. Nothing posted by Yamaha on any of the forums.

Yamaha just sent me an email. I was told 1. that Yamaha has been providing ROM updates for products for years before there was flash ram, and 2) sorry for the inconvenience, but specs were subject to change without notice, and 3:

"This communication is personal and private, and may not be posted on any website for any reason."

I don't know what was so personal or private about the communication, so I thought it was strange for them to put that in.

Larry,

I don't believe Yamaha has the right to prevent you from disclosing any messages they sent to you, unless they had you sign a non-disclosure agreement beforehand. I believe Bob Gelman is an attorney, you may want to ask him on legality of Yamaha's request.

Regards,
Alex
