I owe an apology! Today at the music store they just got in a Yamy 9000. They have it for $1495. I said this would probably be a good back up in case my Korg goes on the blink. I played it for an hour. It had a (Flash?) something or other section with a bunch more styles beside the style section.

I left quite impressed. I just tried it with ear phones. There were many people in the store so I didn’t try out the speakers.
On the way out I remembered everyone complaining about the weight. I remember saying to my self at that time; “it can’t be heavier than my i30. Dave and those guys aren’t bricklayers. They’re probably a bunch of wimps.”

Man!, I’m sorry guys. I went back into the store. It was about chest high and I had to reach out to grab it. I couldn’t get under it because he had a bunch of stuff stacked under it. I got it up with my arms extended but it was as bad as weight lifting. That sucker is heavier than my Korg. I don’t see how you guys kept it as long as you did. It’d be OK in a club setting and you played 5 nights a week and had one at home also. But only Dave and Donny are rich enough to do that. Ha! Ha!

Just kidding Dave and Donny. I know only Fran has that kind of money.

I had a custom-made road case built for mine and the whole thing weighed in at 80lbs when loaded. My chiropractor loved me....until I got the 2000.

HA!
MY 9000 has never left the studio.
There are only two people live here and that is not enough to carry it
Any offers to consider?
It also has a hard drive and 65 mgs of sample ram so is even heavier

So what's the flash section with the styles. Is that a place to store styles from other sources or what?

The 3000 is looking better all the time. He wants $1795 for it. It can't weigh much more than my Sax does.

Is everyone still elated with their Yamy 3000? Or should I go for the 2100. If I ever spend $3500 for an arranger it will be because it can make me play my sax better than Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins and Coltrane all put together.

Boo,
That's WAY too much $$$ for a 3000. Call George or DanO.

Boo,
Uncle Dave is right! Give DanO or George a call for the PSR-3000. The average price that I've seen is just under $1,500, I think $1,495. That store is asking $300 more than the catalogs, and you know DanO or George will give it to you for the catalog price.
