I have a platinum 5.1 but i'm thinking to change it because of the problem with latency.
I want a more professional soundcard for music production and i'm not interested in games.
wich souncard can i buy ?

There are quite a few to select from. Some brands off the top of my head: RME, ESI (check out the ESI WaveTerminal 192L), Audiotrak, Egosys, ST Audio... those make cards suitable for home studios.

There are some pricier options too, like Digidesign Digi001, TC Powercore which has a PowerPC CPU and 4 Motorola DSPs, MoTU and Steinberg.
